If batches can be configured and started dynamically from the clients and the measurement computer runs as a service, the concept of dynamic batch configuration in measurement data acquisition is extended by an additional dimension of client-controlled flexibility and decentralisation. The clients take on more responsibility for starting and controlling the batches, while MCPS acts as a central service instance on the measurement computer that responds to client requests.
Each client can define different batch configurations as required. The client determines how many measuring points should be included in a batch before it is started. The sampling rates can be defined differently. Other parameters can also be configured during the measurement.
MCPS in service mode on the measurement computer accepts all requests from the client. MCPS can start the batches from several clients, as it is designed as a scalable service. The MCPS service is available around the clock.
